YBY1: July 30: Beit Issie Shapiro, Rami Meiri, Carmel Shuk, Ice Cream on the Beach & Human Apples to Apples!!

Sunday, the midway point of Yad B’Yad and the first day after an awesome Shabbos, yet again proved to be another spectacular day for trip 1. With a slightly later davening and breakfast, we loaded the buses headed for Beit Issie Shapiro Park- an all inclusive park and playground where everyone, no matter what differences they have, are able to enjoy its features. With inclusion as the basis for the parks ideology, it really coincided with what we as Yad B’Yad strive for.

Following the park, we travelled to Tel Aviv where we created and painted cool street art onto walls in tel aviv with artist Rami Meiri. Afterwards we headed towards the Carmel Shuk, where yet again trip 1’s Israeli style jewellery collection was expanded further.

After a short chill near the beach with ice cream and ices for all, we headed back to Jerusalem, and following another siyum, Yaakov Schneider’s second of the 9 days, the fun night activity of ‘human apples to apples’ proved to be a hit. As always tomorrow promises to be another great day!
