Erev Shabbos in Jerusalem turned out to be an emotional yet educational one. With wake up, davening and breakfast complete, Trip 1 enjoyed a learning program on Ve’ahavta Lerai’acha Kemocha led by staff member Nicole Rothenberg. Following, we headed onto the buses with the destination of Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum – which was a moving experience, and one which I’m sure we all benefited from.
After Yad Vashem, we ate lunch as a group overlooking Jerusalem and then proceeded to the buses and headed back to the hotel. With Shabbos fast approaching we prepared for our Shabbos in the Old City, and re-boarded the buses destined for the Old City. We can’t wait for an amazing Shabbos in Jerusalem.
