YBY1: July 24: Volunteering, Stam Center, Tzfat, Siyum & Debate Night!

After an early wake up, Yad B’Yad trip 1 was welcomed to a whopper of a breakfast. With more food options than jelly bean flavors, we can truly say that no one was going hungry that morning.

Heading over to an absorption center in Tzfat was the first stop on the days agenda. The long bus journey was justified with the happiness and fun that was experienced at the center; trip 1 genuinely brought simcha unto the children for the few hours we were there.

Following, we headed over to the old city of Tzfat, the classic stories of Tzfat helped to enlighten our tour of the old city. We were given some free time to roam around the shuk and many Israeli style products were found on the buses of trip 1, including but not limited to drums, t shirts and Israeli jewellery.

We refused to let the 9 days dampen our spirits and thanks to Josh Eagle’s siyum, a meat dinner was provided. Our night activity was very vocally active with a debate night surrounding  fun issues such as ״what came first the chicken or the egg” and “iPhone or Android”.

Tomorrow promises to be another fun day and we can’t wait!
