YBY1: July 18: Raft Building on the Kineret, Kfar Kedem & Lip-sync Battles!

Hispin is the place where we’re staying,

Being in the holy land keeps us praying.

Wakeup was at ten minutes to eight,

We wanted to hurry so we wouldn’t be late.

Israeli breakfast really was delicious,

Don’t worry parents, it was also nutritious!

Learning groups were next on the list,

We learned that in arguments you shouldn’t use your fist.

At 11:00 AM we started loading the busses,

The staff made sure we were drinking – no fusses.

With our bus drivers driving us to the Galilee,

Both our rafts and Yakir’s phone broke down in the sea.

Onto the next one at Do it On a Donkey,

Wearing traditional ancient clothes made us all look so wonky.

Riding on the donkeys and making fresh bread,

They were not the only ones who ended up well fed.

A much-needed stop was made at the supermarket,

Little did we know that it had nothing on Target.

Heading back on the busses through the north of Israel,

Led us to a lip-sync battle which got so real.

Our first full day started with a bang,

And just got by without speaking the lang.

While today was great and for tomorrow we’re all set,

You wish you were here that’s something we can bet.
