Hey everyone! My name is Eitan Schneier (1) and I’m returning for my second summer as YBY staff! I come from the far-away land of Teaneck, NJ, and am currently finishing up my first year in YU. I spent the previous two years of my life tucked away on a small settlement in Israel called Nof Ayalon, home of Yeshivat Sha’alvim, or as the natives call it “the ‘vim”. Hobbies include sports of all types, from football and basketball to ice fishing (more following than playing), as well as just enjoying a good time. I appreciate a good prank here and there, so if you find random objects on/in/attached to your backpack you may know who to blame… Getting back to our story though, looking forward to a great summer of fun, growth, and chills in Eretz Yisroel, exploring the vast lands that our forefathers and mothers cultivated. Can’t wait to meet everyone and share so many wonderful experiences together!
1. Although some believe the name is spelled with a “y” following the “E”, the more common spelling is Eitan (http://hebrewname.org/name/ethan-eitan-eytan)
