Hello Everybody! I am so excited to spend my 5th summer in a row on Yad B’Yad and my first as Assistant Director! My name is Dovie (long for Dov) Levinson, and I am from Chicago, Illinois. After High School at “The Yeshiva,” I spent two years learning at Yeshivat Hakotel before making my way to Yeshiva University where I majored in Psychology and minored in Education and Society. I am now a PELE Chinuch fellow at Azrieli’s Graduate School for Jewish Education and will be receiving my master’s degree at the end of the year. I have been so fortunate to have been involved in Yachad in multiple different capacities and locations since 2009. Over the years, I have made my way from participant to advisor to NY Yachad coordinator, and finally to my current position as a coordinator in Yachad’s Informal Education department. In my spare time, I enjoy playing all types of sports, learning all types of Torah, and playing all types of games both board and video (may or may not have won HQ five times for a total of 20$. NBD). I am also a huge fan of Harry Potter and have read the books a solid amount of times. Prize goes to the first person to guess the number correctly (hint: it’s way more than you think)! Most importantly though, I am looking forward to an amazing summer with all of you on YBY 2019!
