Hi everyone!! My name is Alison – spelled with an i not a y – Kanefsky. I was born and then raised in Woodmere, which is one of the Five Towns for those who don’t know, and went to HAFTR from 2-year old nursery until 12th grade. After that I spent a year in Israel, Eretz Hakodesh, at Midreshet TVA. Now I’m at Barnard, majoring in Political Science with a potential minor in Economics, but as I have yet to actually take an Econ course, we’ll see how that goes. Ever since my YBY back in 2015, I’ve been looking forward to this day. And after working in Morasha Yachad for 2 years I’m even more pumped. Now on to some fun facts!!! I’m the youngest child so my parents recently got a dog to deal with empty nest syndrome and named her Cocoa Pup – ha’meivin yavin. I wanted to name her Cat. I’ve never eaten a banana, and I’m scared of them. It’s called bananaphobia, look it up. I am a diehard Yankee fan; I bleed blue and white for my team and for my home land. Also, my middle name is Z, just the letter, my dad thought it would be funny. I am beyond excited to meet all of you and cannot wait for this summer to begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
