July 5, 2016: Raft Building, Kineret & Kfar Kedem!

Day 3 of YBY 2016 was so much fun! First we went to the Kineret and we were taught how to tie special knots for building rafts. We split up into our attendance groups and worked together to build awesome rafts using bamboo, rope, and barrels. After testing out our new creations we got to enjoy swimming in the refreshing Kineret! We had water fights and swam for a bit which was so much fun! After we got all cleaned up we went on the bus to go to Kfar Kedem, where they took us back 2000 years. Everyone got dressed up in robes and scarves on their heads. We learned how Avraham Avinu made bread and then got a chance to make our own pitas. After, we rode donkeys like our ancestors did many years ago. We then ate a delicious dinner. There was pita, hummus, Israeli salad, rice, chicken and lamb. After a long and fun day, we made our way back to the hotel.
