The day started with some yummy pancakes for breakfast. YBY then had the opportunity to explore the outdoor activities in the fabulous Westin Hotel. For example, the pools, the water slide, and the lake. At the lake, (the boys of) YBY had the pleasure of throwing Ron, our Program Director, into the water. Next, YBY had the pleasure of meeting and asking questions to the Rabbi and Rebbetzin of Las Vegas, the Wassers, during a delicious lunch. Following their amazing Dvar Torah and the interesting Q & A, the Pink Jeep Tours came and picked us all up in order to go explore the beautiful and colorful Red Rock Canyon. During the wonderful tour, YBY experienced our first monsoon in Nevada. Just kidding, but it did drizzle a bit. We didn’t mind though- it was nice to cool off! At the canyon, YBY saw many beautiful views of the lovely Las Vegas landscape. That night, YBY was excited to have meat in honor of Ron’s siyum on Masechet Shabbat. Following dinner, YBY was divided into 3 teams for the Apache Relay Race: Gold, Silver and Green. The Apache relay included mummy wrapping, singing songs, chugging mysterious drinks, accurate Nerf gun shooting, wheelbarrow racing, and more. Everyone was required to dress up in their team colors. YBY had a blast and can’t wait for more exciting days to come!
