On Friday, we started off the day with a super late 7AM wake up, and headed to the Weizmann Science Park. There, we were taught about multiple interesting experiments from our tour guides. We learned about space and even got to experience what it feels like to be on the moon. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and got on the busses to go to Masada. When we finally got to the hotel, we had less than an hour to get ready for Shabbos. After Kabalas Shabbos, we had a scrumptious dinner (the chicken soup is NOT chicken soup) with the blue and white MachHach. On Shabbat day we had circle time, followed by learning programs and a few hours to sleep. After a beautiful Havdalah, sung by one of our counsellors, we did an inspiring and eye-opening activity. Each one of us received a candle and all of us had an opportunity to light someone else’s candle in the circle. Once we chose someone, we said why we specifically chose that person. It was amazing to hear about the incredible qualities and abilities that other participants have that we may not have known about. We had a great Shabbos and don’t want the last one to come and end Yad B’Yad just yet.
