Day Fourteen: Thursday, July 25th: The Kotel, Southern Wall Excavations, Machon HaMikdash, and Visitors Night!

Hi Everyone!

Today was one of the most inspiring days of Yad B’Yad so far. We started off davening and headed off to the holiest place on earth, the kotel. For Ashi, it was the best moment he has ever experienced. It was his first time standing in front of the Kotel! It was emotional and inspiring. For Raylie, it was her first time at the kotel since she lived in Israel, 3 years ago. Next, we went to a place a little bit above the kotel and we watched a really cool virtual reality movie about the Kotel and the Beit HaMikdash. After the movie, we headed, by foot to eat lunch in the old city. Everyone got to choose where they wanted to eat. After lunch, we went to a museum called Machon HaMikdash. It was a very nice and educational museum about the Beit HaMikdash. We headed back to the hotel and got ready for Visitors Night! Some of us went to the mall with our friends and counselors and some of us went to hang out with our visitors. We were all overly excited to see our visitors and had the best time! Overall, we had a very inspiring and amazing day!
