Hello!
On Friday, we had another amazing and fun packed day. Following an amazing davening and breakfast at Ramat Rachel, we loaded the buses and headed to Emek Refaim. We split up into three groups and one group went to make pizza that would mostly be delivered to the soldiers before Shabbat, while part of it would be eaten by us for lunch. Another group went to the Yachad Israel Center. There, they heard from the Director of Yachad Israel and from their Inclusion Advocate, Tikvah, who told her story about how her disability affected her making friends when she was younger. She also said that when she made Aliyah to Israel a few years ago and came to Yachad Israel, she felt a lot more included and made more friends. The third group had free time on Emek Refaim to shop and hang out. After that, we went to a park and ate some of the pizza that we made. It was really delicious. Then we went to a supermarket where we were able to buy food and snacks. At around 5:30, we boarded the busses and left to the holiest place in the world, the Kotel. We davened on top of Yeshivat HaKotel where we overlooked Har HaBayit. It was a very spiritual and meaningful davening. We went and ate in a room around the corner. The food was very delicious. During the meal, we sang songs and a Dvar Torah was also delivered. After a meaningful Birkat HaMazon, we left and started our long trek back to Ramat Rachel. During this long walk, people spoke to their friends and also started making new friends. We also sang and did a Q and A session with the counselors. Even though we were tired because of this long walk, we still had a fun time. They say that time flies by when you have fun, and that was the case during this walk. This was a very fun day and we look forward to another fun packed week during this coming week!
