It all began with some Krispy Kreme donuts at Breakfast. As we said adiós to Arizona, Ari Zucker (aka Ron) made some very important phone calls to the Krispy Kreme Manufacturers. We received some pertinent information on the donuts, including if it was the donuts or the kreme that was krispy (both), if they remembered when a young Allie Cohen visited their factory (of course!), and how this all related to Yachad. Even though Steve/John was not terribly amused by these deep, philosophical questions, everyone on Bus 2 was thoroughly entertained. The next activity was listening to some free-style rapping on the proper way to make a grilled cheese sandwich, which was equally educational.

After we finally arrived in Palm Springs, California, we took a tram ride to the top a mountain with a beautiful view. (Read: photo op for Tani.) After that, we went to a chabad chabad, chabad chabad (rebbi rebbi rebbi and chabad chabad [lubavitch lubavitch]) shul for davening and a beautiful siyyum by Ari, followed by a delicious meat dinner. Next, we checked into another beautiful Westin, where we played an insane game of glow-in-the-dark Gaga, and celebrated Chana Waintraub’s sweet sixteen!
