Augst 3, 2015: Water Sports in Eilat

On Tuesday Yad B’Yad took Eilat
The weather there was really hot

At the beach we did water sports
Splashing around in our knee length shorts

Kayaking, Tubing, swimming and banana boating ,
We were wearing our life jackets so we were all floating

After that we had pizza and a shmooze
And danced together on an awesome cruise

We jumped off the boat and into the sea of red
By the time we got back to the hotel we were ready for bed

Then we ordered burgers bar and went to the mall
We all got fish pedicures, that was such a good call.

We went shopping and bought a lot of food
After that we were all in such a good mood

That night when we laid down in bed
We only had smiles about the days up ahead

Hey this is Nechama and Brooke aka Chum and Brick bringing you your daily dose of info. With an opportunity to seize the day we rose with the sun to go explore Masada and all that it had to offer. The short bus and cable car ride to Masada was a great start to an even greater day. Joining the late risers for a delicious breakfast and an enlightening learning group we then headed to the buses to make our way down to the lowest of lows…—… THE DEAD SEA. Even though our dearest Chum is allergic to seas, I and many others enjoyed the Dead Sea making a splash towards new friendships (but not actually, due to the burning sensation that would occur). You may ask what the non-swimmers did at the Dead Sea? Great question. They made their way to the refreshing ice cream shop near the others to have a rejuvenating treat. Exiting our last insulated air conditioned store we made our way to experience life as a Bedouin, which entails full exposure to the sun, don’t worry we all wore hats, sunscreen, and drank lots of water. We all picked the perfect camel and enjoyed the ride. Exhaustion hitting us hard we then got to experience an authentic Bedouin dinner, which means no plates and only hands! Fueled and ready to go we suited up for army night lead by our fearless leader/ journal organizer himself, Isaac Buchine. After saving Schrag and exploding our busses (public service announcement- no busses were actually harmed in this night activity) we sat around the bond fire getting to know each other until curfew. Although we hoped this day and journal entree would last forever, all good things must come to an end.

Till next time Chum and Brick
