I hope that this letter finds you all well.

On behalf of our parents whose children are presently working at Camp Moshava, I would like to express our gratitude for the incredible opportunity you and the board members have given to them .As the camp director, Vicky has always been open and encouraging.

One of the greatest barriers our adults face is ageism. They graduate from high school at the age of 21 and have very limited options. The government informs parents that families are now on their own- very little financial or other supports. Their connections to the school community ceases. They age out of other programs as well; youth groups, the camping system, etc. The chronological age does not fully reflect their true situation and the consequences have an impact.

Our adults become captive to a segregated environment for most of the year and therefore the camping prospect is not a luxury or just a summer getaway. It is a special, unique and extraordinary experience. They are surrounded by role models and support beyond expectation. They are still learning and developing in a warm and caring atmosphere.

The camping relationships continue and deepen throughout the year. As we the parents age, it is extremely comforting to know that there is a circle of friends enveloping our children and pray that it will continue as they create dreams and goals for their own future.
