Morasha Yachad Week 7
Morasha Yachad Week 7

Dear Morasha Yachad Families,
We began this week with an exciting Yom Nate B’Yachad carnival in camp Nesher. All the Yachad summer programs joined camp Nesher for a carnival run by each program’s vocational members – it was great seeing all of our friends from different programs. Monday night we ended a busy day by kicking back and enjoying a movie night in the canteen. Tuesday night the boys and girls split up; boys joined the Younger Shtili Boy division for a competitive game of Minute To Win It, while the girls designed and made headbands together with the Nitzi Girl division. Wednesday was an action packed trip day! We began with a surprise stop at an ice cream shop. We then went to Skate Estate where we went roller skating, played laser tag, played miniature golf, and went on water slides. We ended off the night by going to a minor league baseball game – it was a long day action packed with fun! On Thursday, our vocational program split up for the final vocational trip of the summer. All female vocational members from all the programs went to Camp Shoshanim for a day at the spa while all male vocational members came to Morasha for a day of sports and smores. At night, our camper and vocational program had a competition called edible arrangements where we were split into teams and asked to design and build our dream bunkhouse out of cookies and candy. We had some creative suggestions like hot tubs, dance floors, rock climbing walls and more. It was awesome! Finally, on Friday we ushered in our last Shabbos of camp 2015. What a week!

Workers of the Week!

Avraham Becker
Joining us in camp Morasha for his first summer, Avraham has certainly made himself at home this summer! As a proud staff member of the boy’s waterfront, Avraham keeps the swim shack clean, gives out and puts away life vests and helps campers on and off the motor boat. In addition to his hard work at the waterfront, Avraham also has chavrusas in the BMP and makes sure the sefarim are put away on the shelves. Avraham is a huge asset to the Morasha Yachad vocational team and we are so happy he joined us this summer. Keep up the great work!

Lauren Kreiser
Though this is not her first summer in camp Morasha, this summer marks Lauren’s first summer as a vocational member. Morasha Yachad was excited to invite Lauren back this summer to work at two job sites; arts and crafts and chessed. In the arts and crafts room, Lauren assists the department head by sharpening pencils and cleaning paintbrushes. While at chessed she assists the department head by giving out supplies and running creative chessed oriented programs in camp. Lauren has a great smile that everyone loves to see when they see her at work. Way to go Lauren!

Looking forward to another fun, exciting and gainful week at Morasha Yachad!
