Mesorah Voc Week 1
Mesorah Voc Week 1

Welcome to Mesorah Yachad 2016

Welcome to the Camp Mesorah Yachad program of 2016. We were so excited to be back and welcome new and old faces to our program and camp. We started out with an awe inspiring night activity and an American independence day themed dance party. The whole place was a moment of serene happiness and glee. Then after the whole camp was blown away by a gorgeous fireworks display by our neighbors across the lake. As the week continued our job coaches and vocational members quickly found or discovered their niches in the camp.  As the week progressed. Their were plenty of fun. Fruitful and happy endeavors throughout Yachad and the rest of the camps divisions. In conclusion we hope to have a very fruitful rest of camp and hopeful install some new memories and good times within our minds. Also we hope to meet and see many new and old faces.

DVAR TORAH CORNER: BY JACK BARTKY
Shabbat Shalom Everyone,
How is everyone’s first week? This week’s parsha is Korach. The Pasuk says ,ויקח קרח
Rashi comments that this means “and he took himself out of the congregation.” Here at
Camp Mesorah and Yachad we are all about being a community and we never leave
anyone out. Korach’s sons were on Moshe and Aharons side. The lesson is never be like
Korach and never separate yourself from a community. This dvar Torah was brought to
you by Mesorah radio (also me).

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK:
* Arriving at camp!
* Leyl Mesorah!
* Ropes course!
* Bonfire and concert with Morde Shapiro (check out Mesorah’s Facebook page to see the
live video!)
* July 4th Fireworks!
* Chicago Boys live show!

We are looking forward to another great week ahead!
