We had a fantastic second week at camp! Our week started off with campouts. We hiked, cooked food and sang campfire songs. We enjoyed our nights at camp this week watching some great movies and having a bunk night competition! Although we focus our learning on Israel…we took a day to celebrate our other country….America! We had a great Fourth of July full of BBQ and Red, White and Blue. On Friday we had a “Shuk” (Market) run by Eidah Daled. There were snow cones, smoothies, popcorn, face painting and so much more! It was so much fun!
Eidah Aleph: We had a great second week in camp! This week we went on our first camp out! We hiked up the mountain and pitched our tents. We spent the night playing games, singing songs and eating yummy BBQ. On Tuesday night we had a great movie night on the soccer field-we watched The Parent Trap. It was a late night but we had so much fun! On Thursday night we competed in bunk night. We wrote an awesome song about waking up our counselors-it was hysterical!! On Friday, we went to the Shuk Machane Yehuda. We had snow cones, smoothies and played fun carnival games. We will miss all of our friends leaving this coming week, but we can’t wait to meet our new friends!
Eidah Bet: This was a crazy week! We started off the week with an amazing campout. After hiking up the mountain we BBQed some yummy food and our counselors played some great music to sing to. We had so much fun hanging out in our tents….and going to bed super late! On Tuesday we had a crazy dance party in the Chadar Ochel (Dining Room) filled with some of our favorite songs and of course dancing! After our dance party we needed to wind down. So we all put our PJ’s on and watched The Parent Trap out on the soccer field. We got a special treat on Wednesday night-we got to go night swimming! On Thursday night we had bunk night. We put on an awesome skit…and won! It was so much fun! The Shuk on Friday was a blast! We got our faces painted, ate a ton of popcorn and danced together! We are looking forward to what next week will bring!
Eidah Gimmel: Wow! Eidah Gimmel had a busy week! We started off the week with toranut. This means we were in charge of preparing the Chadar Ochel for everyone. On Tuesday and Wednesday we went on a campout. We hiked, cooked our own food, played games and had some learning activities. We came back dirty, tired and excited to tell everyone about the amazing time we had! The fun didn’t end when we got back to camp….it just kept going! On Wednesday night we had an awesome movie night. We created a really catchy song for bunk night….complete with crazy dancing! We ended our week with an awesome Shuk run by Eidah Daled. It was so much fun eating popcorn, making bracelets and listening to music. We can’t wait for another amazing week of camp!!
Eidah Daled: “Daled rules the camp!” This week we truly felt like we ruled the camp. On Tuesday and Wednesday we went on a fantastic campout. We pitched our own tents, made our own food and spent great bonding time together. It really made us feel like the leaders we are becoming. When we got back from our trip we were exhausted! But not that exhausted so….we had movie night! We spent a lot of time this week preparing for our “Shuk” on Friday. We created different booths, made signs and got our supplies. We created so many booths-snow cones, popcorn, smoothies, face painting, hair wrapping, and a Torah raffle. We are so happy everyone had so much fun!
