What a busy second week of camp we’ve had! We started off the week with Tisha
B’av. We all changed out of our leather shoes, some of us fasted and we all learned about
the many tragedies that occurred on this day. We all read Eicha together on the soccer
field and then had a great activity where we talked about treating others nicely. During
the day, we started out with davening and Kinot. In between we had slideshows and
sketches to explain to us what everything was talking about. In the afternoon, we split up
and had a shiur and did an art project. We ended our fast with singing and then…food! It
was a very meaningful fast day.

After Tisha B’av we had something new in camp….RAIN!! We had our first rain days.
We played indoor gaga and hockey, did art projects and watched movies. It was very
fun…and wet! On Wednesday night we had a camp wide cake wars! Each bunk made a cake.
The theme was Yerushalayim. All of the cakes were amazing, and delicious!
On Friday the sun came back out and we all put on our white clothes for the Color
Run! We ran around camp getting colored paint, chalk and food coloring thrown at us! By
the end we were all multicolored! It was so much fun dancing and seeing how silly everyone
looked.

Eidah Aleph : Eidah Aleph had a great second week! After a long nine days we were SO
excited to be back in the pool! We put on our bathing suits, grabbed some water guns and
pool noodles and jumped in! Unfortunately the sun didn’t stay so long…and it started to
rain! That’s ok, we still had so much fun! We had a “campout” with Teva (nature) this week.
We made s’mores, sat around the bonfire and sang songs. It was a lot of fun! Along with
being excellent s’mores makers this week, we also made our own pizza in baking! We had so
much fun rolling out the dough and putting tons of toppings on! It was the best pizza we
have ever eaten!

Eidah Bet: We had a busy week here in camp! We started off the week with a camping
trip! We packed our sleeping bags and flashlights and headed out for an awesome night!
We learned how to pitch tents, BBQ hotdogs, and had so much fun hanging out together
and hiking! You’d think all that fun would make us all too tired to keep going…nope! The
week was just getting started! This week we got to tie dye shirts in art! Each of our shirts
looked different and amazing! We also spent our week, trying out the ropes course,
horseback riding and swimming in the pool! We ended our busy week with super fun night
swim (because swimming during the day just isn’t enough!).

Eidah Gimmel: Wow! Eidah Gimmel had a super fantastic second week!! This week we got
to go on the camp’s awesome ropes course! We had so much fun putting our harnesses on
and climbing to the sky! This week we also had a camp wide cake wars and…..we won! Our
cake of yerushalayim won for the boys side-we were so proud of ourselves! On Thursday
we grabbed our bathing suits and sunscreen and went on a boating trip! We didn’t let a
little rain stop us, we had so much fun going jet skiing and boating and spending time
together outside of camp. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!

Machal: This week, we definitely felt like we ruled the camp! On Shabbat we got to run
Snif for all the campers. We ran different games for the kids-it was a lot of fun! This
week we got to use the airsoft course. We had so much fun splitting into teams, putting on
camouflage and shooting at each other (safely, of course). On Wednesday, we had a new
visitor in camp…rain! Instead of doing our usual activities outside, we had to move our fun
inside. We had an awesome game show against Eidah Daled! After our game show, we got a
special treat-we got to go to Sky Zone! We spent the whole day jumping on trampolines,
dancing on trampolines, and hanging out…on trampolines! We can’t wait to see that fun that
next week has in store!
