What a jam packed week we had! We started off the week with a super fun color
RUN, followed by a crazy color WAR, and ended it off with an inspirational Yom Yisrael
(Israel Day)! The color war teams were based on Kibbutzim we learned about in camp, Ein
Hanatziv (blue team) and Lavi (yellow team). The highlight of color war was definitely the
Apache Race, a relay race all around camp. Ein Hanatziv won color war, but it was a close
race all the way down to the wire. On Friday we had Yom Yisrael where we wrote letters to
lone soldiers, made fresh pita, heard people‛s aliyah stories and even went on our own El Al
aliyah flight! We had so much fun learning all about Israel!
Eidah Aleph : On Sunday morning we all woke up and changed into our white shirts to get
ready for the color run! As soon as the color run ended, we joined the rest of camp for
some dancing, which turned into color war breakout! During color war, we participated in
team sports, cheering, arts and crafts and the apache race! After color war, we had a
great time at all the camp activities, including soccer, swim, and archery, where we popped
balloons with arrows! On Wednesday, we said goodbye to our 2 week campers ?, but not
before we had an award ceremony Tuesday night. We can‛t wait to see everyone next year!
Eidah Bet: Eidah Bet had such fun activities this past week! From running the first ever
Moshava California color run to learning about Israel and Aliyah through a fun and
educational round robin activity, the excitement was everywhere! We were all very involved
in color war, participating in the sports, team activities, and tons of cheering. Additionally,
some of the Eidah Bet bunks won nikayon (clean up) this week, and got to go get ice cream!
We also had some great night activities including hawaiian night, where we had a luau and
made smoothies. We also had a fun karaoke night, singing songs from Frozen to modern
Israeli pop hits! In between color war and Yom Yisrael, we also had the opportunity to
participate in some of the great activities camp has to offer including horseback riding,
airsoft and pina yisraelit (Israel experience), where we learned how to make candles! We
had a great last full week of camp, and are looking forward to an inspiring last Shabbat!
Eidah Daled: What a week Eidah Daled had! After participating in the color run on Sunday,
and helping run color war on Monday, we went on a trip on Tuesday and Wednesday! During
color war, we were all very involved in activities from sports, cheering, writing team songs
and a very competitive trivia game! On the trip, we went hiking in Malibu, surfing in Venice
Beach, biking in Santa Monica, and got to eat in the heart of Los Angeles! Yum!! We all
really appreciated getting to spend some time outside of camp together and really enjoyed
the beautiful sights of California! On Friday we learned about different aspects of Israel
and aliyah during Yom Yisrael, as we went from station to station participating in multiple
activities. We are all really excited for the energy that the last Shabbat is going to bring!
What a busy last full week of second session we had! Looking forward to an inspiring last Shabbat!
