Session two has gotten off to a great start! All the fun activities have been in full swing including archery, ropes, airsoft, and horseback riding. The week has also been full of many different experiences. On Sunday we learned about the meaning of the fast day Shva‛asar btamuz and ended off the fast with a meaningful camp-wide slow shira (Hebrew sing-a-long). On Friday we all had a carnival with a blow up obstacle course and water slide, and of course huge water fight! The fire department also came and we all got sprayed by the hoses from the fire trucks, it was so cool! After the carnival we visited a shuk (market) that was prepared by eidah daled in camp. It‛s been an amazing first full week of camp!
Eidah Aleph: Our first full week of camp was one to remember!! On Tuesday we went to Big Bear Lake for boating, parasailing, jetskiing, swimming, and tubing. The entire eidah ate lunch together on a big boat that went around the lake! At the end of lunch it started to rain a little, but that didn‛t stop us from having a good time! This week we got to go horseback riding. We rode the horses throughout camp and felt like cowboys! At night we had a blast at our “birthday party” and balloon craft night activities! We loved going to the shuk and eating popcorn, getting our faces painted, and drinking smoothies today. This has been an awesome week and we are so excited for next week!!
Eidah Bet:Not sure if there‛s anything BET-ter than the week eidah Bet had!! On Tuesday we went along with Eidah Aleph to Big Bear Lake for a special water sports trip. Boating, swimming, parasailing, and tubing were all so exciting and we all got soaked! We loved eating together on the boat and dancing to “Yavo” just like we do every day in camp. In camp we continued to work on our masterpieces in art, learned to shoot bows and arrows in archery, and played so many sports! We loved our movie night (we watched “Brave” outside!) and messy paint twister night activities!! The carnival and market were so much fun, and it was so nice to come together with the entire camp. What a special week we have had in camp, we are so pumped for the week to come!
Eidah Daled:Daled daled daled!! Eidah Daled has had an amazing first full week in camp! Monday was our first trip day in session two. We went hiking, kayaking, boating, tubing, parasailing, swimming, and jet skiing at Big Bear Lake. We loved every second of the trip!! On Thursday we spent a lot of the day painting and preparing for the shuk (market) that we set up for the rest of camp. On Friday we got to practice our leadership skills when we ran the market for all the younger eidot in camp, and it was a huge success (if we may say so ourselves)! We‛re all honorary wizards after we got to play quidditch as a night activity this week! It‛s been an amazing week, can‛t wait for next week and all the craziness to come!!
