Moshava California Shadow - Week 3
Moshava California Shadow - Week 3

What a unique third week of camp we had! From a wacky Color War to an inspirational Shabbat in LA, this week was full of surprises! Together we all made the best of a unexpected situation. Everyone was really flexible and had a go with the flow attitude. All in all, everyone had a really great last week of first session!

On Tuesday afternoon, we all attended a hilarious comedy routine by our camp dad, Ouriel, which turned into color war breakout !!!! The whole camp was split into two teams, Ir (cities), the red team and Moshav (towns), the blue team . We had many crazy activities throughout color war including intense sporting events, creative team presentations, and of course the incredible apache race. We had some very interesting meals, from a silent breakfast to a hebrew only dinner, and plenty of team cheering in between. The red team ended up winning this session , but it was a close race through and through.

Eidah Bet: Eidah Bet had a really busy week! On Sunday we went on a hike out of camp.  We got to visit the local fire department and spray the hoses. We then stopped and ate station pizza for lunch and cooled down with some ice cream after! We were a really big part of color war, participating in all the activities, especially in the apache race, and everyone took a lot of pride in cheering on their team colors. On Thursday, we went to Mulligans and had so much fun going go karting and playing mini golf.

Eidah Daled: Wow! What a great final week we had! On Sunday we worked on camp projects, where we assembled and painted picnic benches that are going to be used around camp! It was so fun to put our stamp on camp! On Tuesday and Wednesday, Eidah Daled went on a fantastic trip to Malibu! We went surfing, biking, hiking, had a scavenger hunt, and participated in a meaningful chesed opportunity with Cedars Sinai Hospital.

It was a fantastic way to end the first session! We can‛t wait to keep in touch with all of our new friends!
