What a jam packed week we had! We started off the week with a super fun color
RUN, followed by a crazy color WAR, and ended it off with an inspirational Yom Yisrael
(Israel Day)! The color war teams were based on Kibbutzim we learned about in camp, Ein
Hanatziv (blue team) and Lavi (yellow team). The highlight of color war was definitely the
Apache Race, a relay race all around camp. Ein Hanatziv won color war, but it was a close
race all the way down to the wire. On Friday we had Yom Yisrael where we wrote letters to
lone soldiers, made fresh pita, heard people‛s aliyah stories and even went on our own El Al
aliyah flight! We had so much fun learning all about Israel!
Voc: This week, Voc was hard at work at our jobs, working on skills such as not interrupting
people while they are talking, being respectful to our job coaches, and being a good sport.
On Sunday morning, we put on white shirts, did some stretching and ran in the first ever
MoshCali color run! After the color run, we went right into color war, and got to help our
respective teams try to win! We even had a special night activity of giant bananagrams,
which put Ein Hanatziv against Lavi, and Ein Hanatziv won at the last second!
After color war, we returned to our regularly scheduled jobs. We had pajama day at Gan
and helped them go on a trip, learned how to wash paintbrushes on our own, and led music
peuolot (activities) this week.
We had some great night activities such as a movie night with popcorn, where we watched
Back to the Future and a cake wars, where we decorated birthday cakes to celebrate
Chana‛s (one of our job coaches) birthday!
On Friday we helped run the different stations during the Yom Yisrael, and helped clean up
the camp before Shabbat. We had a great last full week of camp, and are looking forward
to finishing off the last week on a high note!
