YBY2: July 23: Yad Vashem, Yad Sarah, Har Harzel & Machane Yehuda!

After recovering from the fast of Tisha B’Av the day before, we, Yad B’Yad, the most flexible group in the whole world, embarked on a brand new day. Our day consisting of Yad Vashem, Yad Sarah, and Har Harzel was so meaningful. We started at Yad Vashem where we were led by tour guides and were taught about Holocaust in a new way. We then went to Yad Sarah where we learned all about their organization and how they have 6000 volunteers helping people on a daily basis. At Har Herzel, we saw the graves of fallen soldiers and Israeli leaders who helped build our country. We then went to Machane Yehuda where we bought tons and tons of food and went to Rebar. We went back to Bait Vagan and ate dinner. Afterwards, we had Lip Sync Battles for the night activity where different groups (including head staff and counselors as well as participants) lip synced to music and performed for everyone. Music from Frozen, the Greatest Showman, and High School Musical were fan favorites and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you to Eytan Aryeh for making such a great night activity and ending the day on such a high note!
