We started off our day with an early wake up and delicious breakfast. We then traveled to the beautiful city of Tzfat. We had the opportunity to take a mini tour and buy some souvenirs while we learned how to bargain for decent prices. Chaviva got a really pretty bracelet which she was able to bargain the price down from 120 to 80 shekel. We then went to the Stam Center and learned how to write like a sofer where Chaviva succeeded in writing her name perfectly like a scribe. Shortly after we rerouted to the Ethiopian absorption center, played games, sang songs and got to learn about their culture and where they came from. We arrived back to the hotel for dinner and then we all got dressed up as different characters for a game of Human Apple to Apples. Chaviva dressed up as her counselor Riri. An adjective was called out and whichever costume best represented that description went up to the front of the room. Chaviva went up for the word “savage” and screamed the cheer a bunch of grapes which Riri always chants. Chaviva happen to have won that round! YAY! Shout out to Ellie Blanchard for an amazing, really fun night activity. Chaviva then chilled and wrote the journal talking about how amazing today was.
