YBY2: August 2: Volunteering, Save A Child’s Heart & Yom NCSY!!

Today was one of the best days ever! We started off the day volunteering at a factory which employs people who are blind. There, we were taught how the blind workers interact with each other and we also learned some sign language. After we volunteered we discussed positivity over negativity with our learning groups and did an exercise in thinking positively. We then ate schnitzel for lunch… finally after the 9 days! After we went to Save a Child’s Heart, an organization that brings children from underdeveloped countries for life changing heart surgeries. There we learned all about the incredible things this organization does and we played with the children! The kids were so cute and we all enjoyed playing and laughing with them. To end off this amazing day we went to Yom NCSY! From the moment we stepped off the bus our ruach was unparallel to any other program! We had a delicious BBQ and heard an amazing concert from Modechai Shapiro. No matter which program a participant was on this summer we all sang and danced bYACHAD! It was truly an unforgettable night of Yachad pride!!
