YBY2: August 10: Biblical Zoo, Kotel Tunnel Tours & Yom Yachad!!

Hi Parents! For our first day back in Jerusalem, we went to the Biblical Zoo and the Kotel tunnel tours. At the Biblical Zoo, we began with learning groups where we discussed the power of names and how a name can affect a person. Afterwards, we got to bond with our learning groups while seeing a bunch of (biblical) animals. Then we headed to the old city for the tunnel tours! At the Kotel tunnel tours, we heard about the fascinating past of Jerusalem and got to see things from 2,000 years ago! In between the zoo and the tunnel tours, we had a unique lunch where we got coupons with five different options for restaurants to eat at in the Rova. It was fun to explore the old city through food!

Later, we went to Yom Yachad and had so much fun!! Seeing old friends and making new ones was very enjoyable, especially since we are all one program! Seeing the trips bond was amazing and got us very excited for reunions like Simchaton and shabbatons! We heard awesome speeches, watched trip music videos, and enjoyed each trips flashmob. We finished off the night with dancing and ice cream!

Once we got back to the hotel, we got the late curfew we won a few weeks ago in Deal or No Deal: curfew addition – 4:30 AM curfew! Today was great and we can’t wait to continue enjoying our last few days together!

PS: Don’t worry Mommy/Madre and Daddy/Padre, we went to bed earlier than curfew 🙂
