July 21, 2016: Jeeping, Chocolate Factory, and Yom NCSY!

After a fun filled packed day on Wednesday, we were all very excited to see what Thursday would bring. The day started early when we traveled to the Golan Heights. The two buses split up, one went jeeping, where we saw a stunning view of the Syrian border through the trenches that the IDF used. The other bus went to a chocolate factory, where we got to see first hand how the factories make chocolate, then we got to taste it and make our own chocolate. Have no fear, both buses got to experience each activity! The day continued with a delicious pizza lunch and games. After lunch, we traveled across the country south to Bar Ilan University for Yom NCSY. It was a great night when all NCSY programs and both trips of Yad B’Yad came together for a barbecue, a concert with dancing, and a hachnasat sefer torah. We were privileged to hear from Mrs. Miriam Perez, a brave mother who lost two sons fighting to protect Israel. She shared her total faith in Hashem during her difficult time. It was an exhausting, yet amazing day!!!
