July 19, 2014: Day 5

What’s up Yad B’Yaders?!  Let’s look back at our first Shabbos as a family. We started off our first Shabbos morning with a beautiful davening followed by a delicious Kiddush #food. Next, unfortunately, the boys and girls split up for learning groups #separationanxiety. The girls had a conversation about being present in a conversation #inclusion, through improve exercises. The boys played a game about life, where they were given cards and had to work as a group to put them into order from greatest to least valuable. After the meaningful sessions, we had a great Shabbos lunch, followed by circle time where we learned some new cheers. We than played a bunch of games, such as WAH, “bunny-bunny” and the hand game. We then went to chill and eat at the warm and welcoming home of Alex Bell. After an awesome afternoon, we headed to Mincha, seudat shlishit and Maariv. We ended Shabbos with an explosive Havdalah with lots of singing and dancing. Then, we had a super fun night activity of Panoply with various questions from the staff regarding TV shows. We finished the day with an ice cream party. Over all it was the best Shabbos ever!
