Today was another AMAZING day on Yad B Yad! We started off with a delicious breakfast to give us energy for a long, exciting day. Our first stop was the Lebanon border where we met this guy wearing a really cool shirt. He explained to us the history of the Kibbutz and his reasoning for living there even though it was a dangerous area. We left the border with a greater appreciation for the 300+ people living on the Kibbutz. We then traveled to Nachal Dan where we took a “hike” and reached this amazing pond with FREEZING fresh water. At first, we were hesitant to go all theway in. But soon one after another, we all started going in all the way and it turned into a huge water fight! We all ended up coming out of the pond completely soaked from head to toe. After lunch, we made our way to rafting. we were divided into groups of 6 and were sent into some more freezing water. Each raft had a different experience because some decided to have water fights while others just wanted to sit back and enjoy the ride. While waiting for all the rafts to finish, some groups played some games like “riding on a donkey” and “sitting on a chair.” Other programs saw us playing and came over and commented how much fun it seemed we were having. Then we dried up and came back to the hotel for dinner. Today was Evan Goldstein’s Birthday! so we brought him out a card signed by everyone and a cake. And obviously what’s a birthday without being pied with the cake… For our first night activity, we had musical bingo. Everyone had to recognize the songs playing and if the song was on their board, they would put a sticker on it. The first person with a row won! In between different songs, everyone got up and had mini dance parties! We thought yesterday was a great day but it just keeps getting better and better! We really can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for us:) See you tomorrow!!
