Day Twenty One: Thursday, August 1st: Water Sports, Boat Cruise, and Eilat Boardwalk!

Hi, this is Daniel Simon!

Today on Yad B’Yad we had a fun, jam-packed day in Eilat. We started off the day on the beach where we went banana boating, water tubing, kayaking, and paddle boating in the Red Sea. We then went on a boat cruise where we had the opportunity to cool off and swim in the beautiful water of Eilat. On the bottom of the boat, there was a place to look at the different varieties of fish in the sea, as Eilat is one of the best places to snorkel and observe fish in the world. I’d also like to give Efraim Wiener a shout out for allowing me to wear his visor on the boat and for putting together this journal so people can share the amazing experiences we have on Yad B’Yad everyday. For dinner, we went to the boardwalk and enjoyed food from Burgers Bar. From there, we split into groups and walked around the beautiful boardwalk by the beach. I truly enjoyed the activities as I was able to share those experiences with all my friends on Yad B’Yad.

I can truly say that this is the best summer of my life so far. I really enjoy the inclusive atmosphere of Yad B’Yad because everyone knows everybody and has a chance to bond with them, bringing us all together as one cohesive community. I feel that I can apply what I learn this summer to the rest of the year. For example, if I see someone sitting alone or is having a bad day, I will go over and try to include them, as this is one of the most powerful messages that Yachad gives off everyday. There is nothing like Yad B’Yad!
