Day Twenty Four: Sunday, August 4th: Salad Trail, Travel to Yerushalayim, and Mystery Envelope!

Hey it’s Mia Drazin from Montreal and Rivka Kaplan from Brooklyn!

We started off this morning at 8:00 am and after a great davening and breakfast, we left the city of Yerucham for the Salad Trail. At the Salad Trail, we learned how Israel was able to do agriculture in the desert through their drip irrigation system. We walked around and tasted fresh delicious tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, passion fruit, and some of the more daring people even tasted the hot peppers. We also got the chance to hold and pet pigeons. Afterwards, we had a nice lunch of falafel and salads. After that, we got back on the bus and drove to our next destination while listening to some a cappella music and Efraim Wiener’s horrendous jokes. We took a quick stop at the gas station to pick up some snacks and then arrived at Ramat Rachel. We ate a delicious dinner and then got ready for our Blue vs Orange game of “Mystery Envelope,” a game where both teams are judged based on their ability to complete various challenges. We then all hung out with friends and went to bed. What a fun day!
