Day Twenty Eight: Thursday, August 8th: Beit Issie Shapiro, Invitation to Silence, Dialogue in the Dark, and Talent Show!

Hey! This is Hannah Lewin and Gila Marcus writing from Ramat Rachel Hotel in Jerusalem.

Today we started off with a late wake up, a great davening, and an amazing breakfast. Then we made our way to the Beit Issie Shapiro Park where we learned about the history of the park. We were able to enjoy all of its specially made and accessible activities. We had a filling lunch at the park and then had our pre Shabbos and pre fast supermarket stop. Following that we made our way to the Dialogue in the Dark and Invitation to Silence, where we were able to experience what people who are blind and deaf go through everyday. We made our way back to the hotel for a siyum by Judah Graber… again followed by a delicious meat dinner. After dinner, we had a chance to express our talents for the Talent Show night activity led by Yehuda Furman. During the Talent Show, we experienced a moving perspective on airplanes that was given by Efraim Wiener. It has been a fun filled day and can not wait for another amazing day in Israel!

Signing off,

Hannah and Gila
