Hey everyone! 

My name is Mia Herman and I’m from Chicago, Illinois. Yesterday we boarded the plane and pledged to sleep the entire time. Baruch HaShem we all did! When we finally landed we all went through customs and went to meet our Israeli staff and participants. After everyone got their bags we went outside for dinner. Although we were all exhausted and hot we had such a good time! Our Israeli staff gave out sliders, potatoes, and edamame. Hilariously enough we had to be reminded that we are not supposed to eat the outside of the edamame! After dinner we received our SIM cards and loaded up the buses. Our drive was about 2 hours and most of us fell asleep for the ride. Once we arrived at our destination (Han Hagalil), we went to our assigned rooms and all got to know our roommates a little better. So far Yad B Yad has been an amazing experience and I wouldn’t want to do anything else for my summer. Especially because Efraim Wiener is the best counselor ever.
