Dear Yad B’Yad Journal,
After breakfast, we split into two groups and spent our morning doing chesed. One group went to spend time with senior citizens and saw how they make objects from wood, clay, pottery, and paint. This group also had time to talk, bond, and sing with the older adults. The second group went to package boxes of food to donate. The two groups got back together for a lunch of falafel and pasta salad by Har Herzl. Then we went to the graves of Theodore Herzl , Hannah Szenesh, Yitzchak Rabin, and other fallen soldiers where we held a small ceremony in their memory. After that, we spilt into our learning groups and went to the Biblical Zoo, where we visited the animals and rode on the zoo express. Kaz then made a siyum on Baitza before we ate a meat dinner back at the hotel. We finished off the night within a phenomenal game of capture the counselor lead by Dovid. Woohooooo!!!!
Yours Truly,
Jacob Myers and Jordy Gross
