My name is Jacob Shamash and I am the boys head counselor of Yad B’Yad trip 2. Today, I woke up for davening and watched as ten boys and ten girls walked into shul in order to begin Shacharit. After breakfast and a five minute bus ride we arrived at Red Sea Gulf Water Sports. We split up into inclusive groups and I was fortunate enough to be able to meet with the elusive Elkana who usually works behind the scenes. The groups went tubing and banana boating. I had the privilege of being with Jacob Adler, Borris Sachakov, Sammy Lewin, and Benjy Aryeh. We started off slowly but soon picked up the pace. I promised Sammy that we could jump off “Yad B’Yad” at the count of three, but instead when we reached three I pushed him off. After a thrilling ride we boarded a party boat for a pizza lunch and some dancing. I was relieved when we were allowed to jump off the boat so I could camouflage my signature Shamash sweat marks. It was 113 degrees outside so we all enjoyed cooling off. Everyone was able to snorkel, “sea” the fish, and jump off of the trampoline. After an exhausting day at sea, we returned to the hotel to freshen up for Chef Moyo Katz’s night activity. Everyone enjoyed a scavenger hunt around the mall. After a packed day we settled in for a 1:20 curfew, which I have to go enforce, so I guess that means goodbye for now.
Peace Love Jacob
