Dr. Joe Goldfarb has been the Director of Yachad Summer Programs since 2009. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University and his B.A. from Yeshiva University. His specific areas of focus include cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders as well as behavior management of children. In addition, Dr. Goldfarb is a former adjunct faculty member at both Touro College and Hofstra University, where he has taught courses in developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, personality, social psychology, and the psychology of learning among several others. Aside from his clinical background, Dr. Goldfarb has devoted considerable time working in the areas of youth programming and informal education. He has worked at Camp Moshava IO for over twenty summers, and most recently served as Sgan Rosh Moshava. During the “off-season”, Joe lives with his wife (Yafit) and 4 children in Efrat, Israel.
