Michelle Steinhart

Michelle Steinhart has been working in Jewish Education and Jewish Special Education for over 20 years, teaching in day schools and synagogue schools, serving as a counselor in summer camps, and as an advisor in youth groups. She is currently Director of Inclusion at Temple Israel Center of White Plains, NY, and the Mentor Coordinator and Director of Special Projects for MATAN. Michelle has led professional development sessions for many synagogues, schools, and agencies and serves as a consultant for synagogues that are working to build inclusivity in their communities. She and her husband Yaakov live in Rockland County, NY with their four children, Avi, Shaina, Shael and Shaya. Their eldest son, Avi, has autism. Michelle and Yaakov have co-authored numerous blogs and articles about raising a child with special needs.
