Day 11: Inclusive Body Language
Inclusive body language is about making people feel comfortable and included without even saying a word. It includes things like keeping an open posture, facing people when they talk, making friendly eye contact, and nodding or smiling to show that you are engaged.
It also means being aware that not everyone communicates in the same way. Different cultures and abilities affect what feels comfortable, so being flexible and attentive matters.
Today’s challenge is to notice your own body language during conversations. Choose one interaction where you are intentional about using inclusive nonverbal cues and creating a welcoming presence. Small choices can go a long way in helping people feel seen, respected, and welcome.
