Description

Social isolation and loneliness are increasingly being treated as public health priorities the world over and described as a global epidemic. This problem is compounded in the disability community, where there are additional obstacles and stigmas.

The New England Inclusion Summit 2019 is a one-day conference addressing social isolation and presenting models of inclusive social and recreational activities, for people of all abilities and all ages (kids, adults, seniors). New England Yachad in Partnership with The Ruderman Family Foundation is gathering community leaders, organizations, parents, individuals with disabilities, clergy, and professionals. Throughout the day, we will collectively identify roadblocks and solutions to reducing isolation and loneliness while creating friendships through social and recreational activities.

The dedicated speakers and panelists that we have brought together for the conference are experienced in the field of inclusion and advocates of change. We want to extend their insights to as many members of the larger community as possible by offering discounted conference tickets for those registering multiple people to attend. Registration for the full day New England Inclusion Summit, a catered kosher lunch, and all conference highlights is $65 per person, $50 for groups of two, and $40 for three or more attendees registering together.

The conference will culminate with a special performance by the Me2/Orchestra - Music for Mental Health sharing their music and their stories. We welcome you to join us in making this an aspiring, informed and moving day to remember.
